Football Footographs

Kyle Seguin and his toe shoe watching the Texas A&M Aggies and Northwestern Wildcats at the Meineke Car Care Bowl of Texas on New Years Eve 2011. The game played at Reliant Stadium in Houston.

At Kyle Field at Texas A&M University, Tim and Nora Smith pose for this footograph prior to the Aggies clash with Florida International University. The Aggies won the game 27-20 for a 3-0 start to the season.

At over 1.4 billioin dollars, the new Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas is the most expensive stadium ever built. With 3 million square feet, it's more than 3 times the size of the old Texas Stadium in Irving.

The giant TV screens inside the new Cowboys Stadium are just silly-big! The screens weigh as much as a fully-loaded Boeing 747! Tim Smith grabbed this footograph during the $17 tour of the stadium.

Inside the hallowed halls of the Dallas Cowboys Locker Room inside the new Cowboys Stadium, Tim Smith faced the wrath of the tour guide to sit down on one of the benches long enough to get this footograph.

At Chet Anderson Stadium at Bemidji State University, too much foot on a field goal or extra point attempt will send the pigskin flying all the way into Lake Bemidji. Dave Smith gives us just enough foot for this footograph.

Stephen and Tyler Macke set foot on the 20 yard line at the new Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis - home of the Indianapolis Colts. "The Luke" will also play host to the 2012 Super Bowl, the NCAA Men's Final Four in 2010 nd the Women's Final Four in 2011.

At the 2007 Alamo Bowl in San Antonio, Barry Goldsmith and his feet relax before the game in anticipation of a Penn State victory over Texas A&M. The Nittany Lions indeed won the game 24-17.

Nearly 200,000 feet took in the Texas Longhorns victory over the Missouri Tigers. Among those feet are those of Stacy Bryant and Jessica Wilson watched the the game from the North end zone.

Brandon and Kim Smith, Brandon's dad Steve, and his friend Nathan were among several thousand people that
got a sneak peek at the new Lucas Oil Stadium recently. "What a place! I'm hoping that by 2020 (when I can actually afford a ticket) I'll get to see a game!" says Brandon! (Kim's foot is the one attached to the shaved leg, in case there was any confusion).

At the House of Rockne and Rudy, Jeremy Schmatz is out to win won for the Gipper in this footograph taken in front of the Notre Dame Football Stadium.

In front of Touchdown Jesus on the campus of Notre Dame University in South Bend, Indiana, Jeremy Schmatz and Ryan Huebinger do a footo salute to the Patron Saint of Football Fans!

At the College Football Hall of Fame in downtown South Bend, Indiana, future hall-of-famer Jeremy Schmatz poses for this footograph.

Working toward a National Championship, the #2 ranked LSU Tigers are leading 44-7 over Louisiana Tech as John Kittleman raises his foot in salute at "Death Valley" in Baton Rouge. LSU went on to win the game 58-10. Coupled with #1 Ohio State's first loss of the season the same day, LSU should become the number one team in the land.

It's a new season for the Longhorns of the University of Texas and Stacey Bryant cheered the Horns to an opening day victory...grabbing this footograph along the way.

At the popular Dodge Arena in Hidalgo/McAllen Texas, Tim Smith's foot enjoys an Arena2 football game between the Rio Grande Valley Dorados and the Oklahoma City Yard Dogs. Steve and Donna Macke joined Tim and his wife Nora for this epic indoor football war.

The Alamodome is home to the Alamo Bowl each year. It is across the highway from San Antonio's Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center which played host to the 2007 convention of the American Meteorological Society. Tim Smith braved the cold, icy weather (note the ice on the railing) to take this football footograph.

In one of the rare college football games delayed by weather (everyone was afraid of lightning), Stacey Bryant took this footograph at Darrel Royal Stadium in Austin as the University of Texas was busy pounding Iowa State. Note the threatening clouds in the background!

At Penn State University, few legends loom larger than the living legend of Joe Paterno. Just outside of the Nittany Lions' home stadium, legends of the weather forecasting world - AccuWeather's Bob Smerbeck and Dan Kottlowski and KRGV's Tim Smith - pose for this footograph with JoePa.

In Texas, few high school football programs hold the esteem of the Converse-Judson Rockets. With 6 - class 5A state championships under their belts, hopes are high at the beginning of each season. Unfortunately, footographer Tim Smith and the rest of the Rockets fans were disappointed on opening night 2006 when Judson was defeated 28-17 by the Leander Lions.

Mindy Smith at Husker Stadium

Fans of college football will recognize the big red "H" on this field. The "H" is for Huskers and field is in Lincoln, Nebraska, home of the Nebraska Cornhuskers. Mindy Smith pauses during her corn-belt vaction to take this footograph of a real football stadium (Mindy and her husband Garrett are from Indiana where they don't see many "real" football stadiums...Indiana Football is said to be an oxymoron).

After walking all the way around Darrell K Royal Texas Memorial Stadium in Austin, Ashley Matamoros and Taylor Smith finally give up on trying to break in for a footograph and instead settle for this footo in front of the north entry gates.
