On the beautiful Isle of Mull in Scotland, Dennis Pappenfus grabbed this footograph while relaxing on the coast. Miriam Smart admits this 4 year old's foot is bigger than hers! That's the foot of an elephant Miriam ran across while visiting Chiangmai, Thailand.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

While visiting Rome, Miriam Smart and her husband visited the famous Trevi Fountain. Legend has it, if you toss a coin over your shoulder into the water you will return to Rome. Miriam says she caused a bit of a stir when she placed the coin on her foot. The Romans didn't speak English, but they were trying to explain how to throw the coin over Miriam's shoulder!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

While they admit, these feet didn't walk the entire 3,700 miles of the Great Wall, the feet of Roxi Mann and Miriam Smart visited the Great Wall at Badaling. They say it was "spectacular and LONG!"

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Roxi Mann and Miriam Smart grabbed this footograph at the site of the Terra Cotta Soldiers in China. The army was created from terra cotta to guard one of China's emperors in the afterlife. It was lost for centuries and found by accident when a local farmer was digging for a well. The army is "life size and spectacular!"

At Junkanoo Beach on Grand Bahama Island, the 2008 Bahamas Weather Conference comes to a close. Everyone was barefoot in the sand - and Dave Mazza grabbed this footo of the band and crowd.

 

 

 

 

 

 

It's no so much the Junkanoo Beach Bar on Grand Bahama Island that is famous -it's the fact that they ran out of Bahamian Beer (Kalik, Sands, Eclipse) and Dava Mazza was forced to drink that imported Heineken stuff. A Bahamian Bar with no Bahamian Beer is historic (maybe we should've put this footo in historic footographs!).

Each year, Dr. Ken Buckman travels overseas with a group of students from the University of Texas - Pan American as part of the University's "Study Abroad" program. Miriam Smart took this footograph looking in the glass elevator of the Eusebius Church in Arnhem, Netherlands. The elevator takes you up the tower to view the city which was severely damaged during World War II. The movie "A Bridge Too Far" is about that battle that occured in Arnhem in 1944.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Te Norman gives the Centre Pompidou in Paris its place in history by posing for a footograph in front of France's grand cultural centre. The footo was taken during a trip with students from the University of Texas- Pan American's study abroad program.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Just before leaving the Bahamas following the Islands of the Bahamas Weather Conference, a large part of the Texas delegation puts their final footstamp of approval on the events of the five-day event.
