The Hit Of Cinesol.
TV and Movie Footographs

Inside the Pepsi Center in Denver, Polo Sandoval and Will Ripley took several great footos while covering the Democratic National Convention for KRGV NEWSCHANNEL 5 in Weslaco, Texas. KRGV is a CNN affiliate, so Polo, Will and photojournalist Gene De La Cruz spent a great deal of time inside the CNN Broadcast Center.

Behind the scenes at the Democratic National Convention, Will Ripley grabs a footograph in front of the CNN Newscource feed center.

Just off the coast of Freeport, Bahamas, one must always be on the lookout for Pirates. Argh! There's the HMS Bounty now! Right out of Pirates of the Caribbean, Johnny Depps boat is anchored while the pirates scout their next bounty. Tim Smith braves the deep sea terror long enough to snap this footograph.

This would be the ultimate TV/Movie Footograph! Jason Smith sends this footograph to FeetInFamousPlaces with apologies from his right foot. Rightie couldn't be in the picture because it was at an audition!

Please enjoy FIFP's very first "Virtual Foot" submission. An exclusive from the animated series "Pathfinders," these are the feet of Captain Dodge of the 82nd Airborne in WWII, parachuting down into the city of Nijmegan, Holland during Operation: Market Garden . You can watch his feet fight the Nazis by clicking here. This virtual footograph is submitted by "Pathfinder" producer/director Jason Smith.

Jamie Lunsford found one of the most famous stars on Hollywood's Walk of Fame during the Judson High School Choir's trip to Los Angeles. No Grease here! Just Staying Alive for a great footograph.

Getting lots of bonus points for the most creative footograph in a long time, Sarai Valdez snapped this footo while www.feetinfamousplaces.com founder and webmaster Tim Smith was doing his nightly weathercast on KRGV NEWSCHANNEL 5 in the Rio Grande Valley of Texas. Nice job, Sarai!!
Chewbacca shares this footograph with Jason Smith at the California Science Center in the new exhibit "Star Wars: Where Science Meets Imagination." Click on the footo to see a larger image - and special "website only" pic.

That's C3P0 at the Star Wars exhibit. Jason was so excited the camera lens fogged up!
Encased behid glass, it is Darth Vader himself! The boots look so ordinary for such a legendary figure! Thanks to Jason Smith for this footograph from the California Science Center.
Strikingly similar - minus the cape - the feet of Hans Solo. Not sure about the sneaker on the right. I don't remember that from Star Wars.
Fearing for his own feet, Jason Smith didn't want to get too close to the Hoth Wampa. Word is, Mr. Wampa doesn't like sharing space in his footographs.
Princess Leia and R2D2 pose for this footograph at "Star Wars: Where Science Meets Imagination" at the California Science Center. Thanks to footograper Jason Smith for the footo!

Here's a footo of a sand sculpture from Sandblasters 2007. Sandblasters is the Extreme Sand Sculpting Competition, where eight teams compete to build the biggest and best sand sculpture, only to watch them randomly be BLOWN UP WITH DYNAMITE. The two-hour tv special is ridiculously fun and kind of addicting to watch. "SANDBLASTERS 2007" will air in early 2007 on the Travel Channel. Jason Smith took this footograph. Believe it or not, there is a tie between this sand castle - and this website. We'll tell you the connection - after the show airs.

"Steve Saves LA" was the hit of the Cinesol Film Festival in Brownsville, Texas, the weekend of September 9th and 10th, 2006. Following a screening of the film, moviemaker Jason Smith (just left of the foot) takes questions from the audience about the making of the movie. The audience was like a church congregation....they were all seated in the back 5 rows of the auditorium - behind footographer Tim Smith.

Walking in the footsteps of filmmaker George Lucas, Justin Smith poses for this footograph in Hollywood.
From and exhibit at the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (yup, the people who do the Oscars), it Dr. Octopus from Spider-Man2. Although technically this isn't a foot, it's a mechanical tentacle, footographer Jason Smith says it ought to count because it's on the ground. We agree!
AccuWeather Meteorologist Frank Strait takes a break from tracking Tropical Storm Chris to pose for this footograph in front of the famed AccuWeather Center sign. This is the very same AccuWeather Center seen every time the networks need a weather expert for the television broadcasts. You can also see the center regularly on the internet at www.accuweather.com. Frank would like to point out that he only sat with his feet on the desk for 60 seconds . . ."just long enough to pose for the pic, boss."
Dave Smith has a brush with fame on the CBS backlot in Hollywood.
